Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan’s motto for 2019 is “right there with you” and our new advertising campaign is focusing on the services provided by Macmillan right from the point of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond. Macmillan is currently fundraising for oncology nurses and doctors in Antrim Area Hospital, which will enhance and improve the experience of cancer patients in our local area. All monies raised in N.Ireland stay in N.Ireland.
GMT Furniture Ltd had its first Macmillan Coffee morning on the 3rd of October 2019. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the generosity and support shown to us when we held our first ever charity event. Through the kindness of our staff, friends of GMT Furniture and from local businesses, GMT Furniture are so delighted to present Macmillan Cancer Support with a cheque for £6000.00. Thank you to each and every person who helped on the morning or leading up to the coffee morning.
